Collaboration in Nursing (B)

My response to Shannon O’Roak’s Collaboration in Nursing Post:

Shannon,

I love this picture that you chose to represent collaboration in the healthcare setting. I think your picture’s idea is similar to mine. In my picture, I found that it represented the efforts that a group can make and how they create better outcomes. I think your picture shows a similar idea in the sense that two ideas collaborated together can create a much better solution to a problem. It makes me view collaboration in a different light because in healthcare, working together can make or break someone’s day or even their life. So, it is essential to emphasize the importance of working together as a functioning team as a nurse. Really good job! 🙂

My response to Sophie Jones’ Collaboration in Nursing Post:

Hi Sophie!

I love the picture you chose because it is much more realistic than mine is; it shows two nurses collaborating together with the patient listening in or maybe even participating in the team effort. The image I chose was a little different in that it was much more symbolic of collaboration (it showed an assembly of different “puzzle” pieces of art each individually created by a separate artist that, together, resembled a picture of a lion). Collaboration is so important in nursing as it directly affects people’s lives and how the rest of their time at the hospital may go. Or, even, the rest of their lives. So, I think it’s really imperative to understand what real collaboration is and your post demonstrates a very clear and concise understanding of important teamwork. Awesome job! 🙂
