As a team, writing a paper may take more collaboration than when writing alone. As such, mapping out each concept before writing anything down may help keep our group organized. Once we have developed an outline, we will start writing down ideas and dividing up the sections by person. Communication will be key and we will meet several times weekly to discuss plans to keep the group and paper afloat.
If our group has difficulty with conflict management, we will sit down as a group and discuss where the discrepancy lies. If the behavior continues, it may be something that needs to be discussed with the professor. There will likely be barriers, such as writing a group paper in and of itself, and times when collaboration flows nicely. It is important to find a healthy balance between the two. Working as a team will be useful in future nursing practice as it will set us up to work in healthcare teams and learn how to manage work-flow.
In conclusion, our group projects and papers should reflect equal and thoughtful work from every team member. Collaboration is key if smooth problem solving and creativity is the goal for work well done.
